Turn MOTs into a real roleplay inspection. Mechanics run a full diagnostic on any vehicle, see exactly what’s worn or damaged, repair it on the spot, and issue official pass certificates or fail notices.

🔌 jg-mechanic integration

  • Reads each vehicle’s part wear from jg-mechanic: engine oil, clutch, air filter, spark plugs, suspension, tyres and brake pads, plus EV battery, coolant and motor on electric vehicles
  • Detects jg-mechanic’s data automatically, with no table setup needed
  • Uses jg-mechanic’s exports for service history and “due a service” status
  • No jg data for a vehicle? Testers type readings in manually, so tests are never blocked

🚗 Live vehicle scan

  • Engine health, bodywork and fuel tank condition
  • Burst and punctured tyres, per wheel
  • Smashed headlights, broken windscreen, damaged doors, loose or missing bumpers
  • Smart vehicle-type handling: cars are fully checked, while bikes, boats and aircraft skip glass and body checks

📋 UK-style MOT results

  • ✅ Pass · 🟡 Pass with advisories · ❌ Fail · ⚠️ Dangerous
  • Configurable grading thresholds, with safety-critical parts flagged as Dangerous
  • Parts to replace list telling the owner exactly what to fix and how worn it is
  • Tester checks (lights, horn, seatbelts, mirrors, wipers, exhaust, steering, plates) with notes

🛠️ Repair from the MOT menu

  • Mechanics carrying the right item can repair failing parts directly from the test
  • Uses jg-mechanic’s own servicing items, plus repair_kit for damage
  • Progress bar and animation, cancel-safe (nothing is used if cancelled)
  • Server-validated: correct job, correct vehicle, within range, item in inventory
  • The vehicle is automatically re-tested after each repair

📜 Certificates & records

  • Unique test numbers, expiry dates, mileage, tester name, full defect list
  • Complete MOT history and service history per vehicle
  • Police & mechanics can 3rd-eye any vehicle to view its MOT record
